quite a while. I even had the owners "for sale" web page bookmarked. Between you and BJ that's two Auto TTs that I had my eye on, sold before I could turn to the dark side.
: Went to the shop to *JUST* get an oil change for the TT. All of the sudden a voice called out to me from the Dark Side(actually it was just Guy, the NYC area Z god mechanic, with a cold). He tells me there's a race out in Long Island tomorrow. It's gonna be big and all the local NYC tuners are gonna go. Guy's car is down so he can't race. But he's asking all his customers if they wanna race. He says, "Hey, let's just throw on an intake. No biggie." Of cource he's got an extra one around. I gave in, we did it. Then he goes, "Hey, let's do an exhaust. I've got one. It's straight thru, no cats." I'm like, "C'mon man, I just came for an oil change!" Guy: "Look, we'll just put it in for tomorrow. I'm gonna sell it to someone soon. So we'll take it right off." ...OK, OK. Installed the exhaust. Took it out and no traction w/ 2K power brake launch! Got more boost now! WOO HOO! Hope I can hook up off the line tomorrow.
: BTW, we had kind of a little unexpected Z meet @ the shop. Guy, sick as a dog. Me, with an oil change + surprise stage II. Dan(chivas), oil change. Rich(cherry red TT) was working on a car. Shawn(FANTAZ) working on my exhaust. Jimmy(nosd) hanging. BertD, following up on his NA->TT conversion motor. And a couple of others not on the forum. : Stage II+ and racing the TT tomorrow. I need help... :-)
